Uh-huh

I bet S. that there would be fanfiction crossovers between Doctor Who and G.I.Joe within a short time of the latter coming out.  S. found this hard to imagine.  But I said the Eccleston character would be the Master, or a Pete's World version of the Ninth Doctor gone bad, or something like that.

(Why are you looking at me like that?)

Not taking that bet! S. clearly isn't aware of Rule 34. Not only will there be crossovers ... there will be slash.

So much this.

It seems that no fandom can resist the siren song of same-actor crossovers. There's always going to be someone or someones who Go There.

I am almost 100% sure you are correct, on both points. Despite being a lifelong comic book guy, S. isn't that familiar with fandom, or at least fandom as females practice it.

Oh, I find it difficult to believe these crossovers haven't already happened.

I actually went and looked after I read this, and didn't find any. I figure that the collective unconscious needs to actually see Eccleston in action, saying some lines and Being Evil, before it'll generate anything.

I've seen the trailer twice (shut up -- I was in a cinema!) and CE gets about 3 seconds of screen time in it, if that. I hope he gets more than that in the movie -- it'll be a sad day if Sienna Miller gets better exposure out of it than he does.

Ha - Kalleah beat me to it. :D When I saw Horton Hears a Who on fanfiction.net I realized there really is fanfic for everything.

Horton Hears a Who?

I do not, really do not, want to Go There. Even if it's a Seuss-inspired child-friendly sequel, I do not want to Go There.

Yeah - that was kind of my reaction too. (I think it was g-rated though.)

What do you win, should the fic be written? ;)

Ooh!

What do you win, should the fic be written? ;)

Acknowledgement of my supremacy, mostly. If I lose I have to do the [S.] Was Right Dance.
