Happiness, Day 27

Today was a very successful day, if "success" means "getting everything done you intend to do". I stopped off and fed and played with my sister's cat in the morning and was still early for work. I barreled through my workload. I dosed the cat. I picked up the apartment.

I'm a little at a loose end right now, as a matter of fact. The taskmaster-voice in my head is saying, "Write! Write!"

Happy thoughts: well, I was in a good mood all day, feeling conspicuously virtuous with my finished taxes and early arrival time. And it was a sunny day. That's plenty to be happy about.

Writers: do you write only when you've finished every other task, or do you make special writing time that's allowed to complete with housekeeping and social duties?

I write to the exclusion of any manner of other things I should be doing instead. Except work, I can't cheat and write during work due to the billable hour phenomenon. But, other than that, I tend to write and write and write and write. It's very unhealthy.

I should do that, as a version of the "pay yourself first" method of saving money.

I think I'll ask this question on teaspooners. Thanks for replying!

I'm a little like EGT above. I write when the spirit moves me, because I have little choice. Sometimes it interrupts chores, sometimes sleep. (Well often sleep, I think better at night for some reason).
