I wonder what it is about visiting friends, or my parents, that sets me up for a few good days at work and in life generally.  I feel energized and as if many things are possible.  When I stay on my own for too long, I feel overwhelmed, and as if, though changes and successes may be possible, they aren't likely.

How can I get more of this, this energy and hope?

just a change of scenery can do wonders... to continue it, maybe pick a new place to go for coffee every weekend? even if it's just a starbucks 3 blocks from the one you usually go to.

That is true. I should change my scenery more often. There are lots of places I can visit.

I always say this as part of my extroversion. I need other people's energy around me to give me some energy. The energy of strangers will work in a pinch but the energy of those who know me well grounds me in reminders of who I am and that I am loved and worthwhile.

But maybe it's not extroversion. Maybe it's just life.
