Cat update: hooray!

I received my call from the vet today, and the news is: his BUN and creatinine numbers are actually better than they were four weeks ago! They're still above normal, but if (if I've got this right) his BUN is only slightly above what it should be, and his creatinine high but much improved. Hooray! Kidney diet and fluids are working!

He really is a wonderfully tolerant cat. He doesn't mind the stick of the needle (usually doesn't even seem to feel it) and just settles into my lap, purring.

OMG, I am so happy to hear this! That is fantastic news. (One of my dogs has been on meds for early kidney disease for over 3 years now (she's 13). I recently changed her diet to a home-cooked, low protein/low phosphorus rather than a commercial one and all her levels improved on this last recheck. Go figure!) I am positive that it's not just the care you're giving your sweet kitty, but all your love as well that is giving such great results.
