Merry merry

Hi, all,

First, thanks for your responses to my attack of the blues yesterday.  *Big hugs*

I felt much better this morning, and got all the rest of the baking done.  And the wrapping!  And the packing!

I have listened to Corelli's Christmas Concerto and re-assembled my peace of mind.  Re-combobulated, as a friend would say.

I can recommend this recipe: Baked Apricot-Rosemary Bars. (If you can't trust David Lebovitz about dessert, who can you trust?)  They're easy to do, but you need a stand mixer, a food processor, and a lot of time available, as there's a lot of softening/hardening/baking/cooling involved.  Probably it'd be possible to rearrange the steps a little to consume less overall time.

Also, do butter the foil-covered sides of the pan. You're dealing with something sticky and sugary, solidified by baking, and if you don't butter enough, the foil will tear when you attempt to peel it off the bars.

Have a very merry end-of-year merriness, all.  Know that you are valued and appreciated.
