The Lost World of Gallifrey

I was asked to post this by someone who wanted to preserve her anonymity. She goes by "Bill Butler's Girl".

I will arise and go now, and go to Gallifrey
A citadel rebuild there, with quantum force field made;
The deep red grass I'll have there, with tafelshrews at play,
And walk once more in the silver glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning, when snow with sun-twinned shine
Makes mountains all a-glimmer, and rocks with purple glow,
Til evening falls on the northern line.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear time’s echoes lapping with low sounds on the shore
While I stand in the TARDIS, in search of Gallifrey
I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

For context: The Lake Isle of Innisfree.

That's rather lovely, isn't it? (Not sure what the Gallifreyan equivalent of 'nine bean rows and the hive of the honey bee,' would be!)

For me, the quiet joy in Eleven's voice in that final voice-over was the highlight of the entire episode. And Matt absolutely nailed it.

I have often dreamed
Of a far-off place
Where a great warm welcome
Will be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying
This is where I'm meant to be

I will find my way
I can go the distance
I'll be there someday
If I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile
Will be worth my while
I would go most anywhere
to feel like I belong
