Slightly weird day

Slept late, wandered around in a bit of a daze.

But I did the following:

  • Clean up some cat-related unpleasantnesses

  • Reorganize my spare room

  • Write a technical blog post

  • Work on job-related work for 45 minutes

  • Read job-related book, about half a chapter

  • Bake a pair of chocolate-chip cookie pies

  • Played The Sims 2.  (My Nine-and-Rose Sims seem doomed: their maid wandered off, their nanny does nothing, and no more delivery- or service-related Sims will come on the lot, so they're in danger of starvation.  I'm hoping starting them off on a fresh lot will take care of it.)

Productive, I guess.  Not sure I had what you would call "fun", since I'm not sure I've quite been myself today, but I certainly did things.

Sounds like you got a lot done!

What is a chocolate chip cookie pie?

Here's one, although I made the sugar-free variety.

You would not think that those ingredients could make a tasty dessert, but they do.

Today was an odd day. But hey, there's always tomorrow.

Indeed!

I was up late watching THOR with my sister on Saturday, so Sunday was slightly weird, and then Sunday night my CPAP mask broke (not realizing this, I lived with a loud hiss all night) and slept through the alarm. I got to work at 9:30 with dirty hair.

But it was a productive day, very much so, and the traffic on the way home was surprisingly clear. The working world must be on vacation this week.

PS: I also ordered a new CPAP mask.

I should let Abbey watch Thor. She's gaga for all-things Avengers these days. I think she has a crush on Tony Stark. And who the heck can blame her?

How long to get a new mask in?

A week (for the new mask). I might be able to use an old one, or in the worst case sugru the one that broke back together.

PS: I would have thought Captain America, or even Thor, might be more her speed. I can't blame women for swooning for Tony - I do myself - but I would have thought him more of a grown-up taste.
