A fic meme!

From roachpatrol:

Make up a title for a story I didn't write, and I will respond with details of those non-written stories. You may, if you like, include details, such as pairings or fandom or whatnot.

Martha finds out, through her UNIT contacts, that Kathy Nightingale wrote an autobiographical novel, to be published (she hoped) on the twenty-fifth anniversary of her death, and that it's actually quite good. Pre-release reviews talk of the author's keen eye for historical detail and realistic depiction of likely contemporary reactions to a 21st century girl in early 20th century Hull.

But Martha worries what will happen when the media start poking into Kathy's life: her eerie prescience about pop culture, the heavy bets she started making, late in life, on General Elections and American presidential elections, how she'd predicted that the Queen Mother would see 100, that Diana would have two boys, and that Andrew would end up marrying a rubbishy ginger slag.

With a certain regret, Martha issues an order that the novel be delayed another hundred years, 'til when nobody will remain to offer personal recollections of the author and the majority of readers won't be informed enough to notice any anachronisms.

She does, however, deliver a copy of the (now pulped) first edition to Sally Sparrow and Larry Nightingale, because she feels they deserve to know about Kathy's life. And Larry leaks it on the Internet as a Story They Don't Want You To Know.
