Men who go crashing into sheds

It just occurred to me: young Amelia Pond was sent to psychiatrists because she insisted that the Doctor was real.

And yet, something demolished the shed. Amy couldn't have pulled it down herself. Surely that counted for something?

Not that that meant that the Doctor was real, but that someone had been there, and had torn down the shed. She'd clearly had an encounter with somebody.

Hmm. Now that is a very good point. Maybe they blamed it on some non-existent weather anomaly.

I had a midnight encounter with a strange child many years ago, outside my house, in the darkness and the rain, and his grandmother told him afterward that I wasn't real, that he'd dreamed me. (I found that out when I talked to his grandmother later.) I sometimes wonder if he remembers that at all, and how he remembers me.

The parallels between that and Amy meeting the Doctor just now occurred to me. I hope anyway that his family didn't send him to a psychiatrist.
