Snow, freakin' snow

According to Google Maps, from my office to my home is 15.6 miles, all highway.

How long did it take to get home today? Door to door, three solid hours.

I was going to telecommute and make up the remainder of the day (since I left early - for what good that did) but the trip took up all the time I would have spent on telecommuting.

Whoa. I have a fourteen-mile commute, and the longest I've ever taken was about an hour and twenty minutes. Two bridges closed temporarily. I had the misfortune of being on the road between them.

Poor you.

... and here I am, commenting on something inappropriate to Eight.

Firstly, the audios are the easiest to share, given that I can simply sling them your way in data dvd format (my bandwidth is such that making uploads is like gouging your eyes out with sticks).

As for the TV Movie ... have you seen it?

The EDAs are where things get squiffy. By no means would I recommend reading all of them - there's some utter bollocks in there. However, I might keep an ear to the ground for some second hand copies of the better ones, if you're interested?

I've never seen the TV movie. That's the only place in which Paul McGann is on screen, am I right?

I've acquired one of the audios, but I'm waiting to buy an a portable MP3 player (for when I walk on the treadmill) before attempting to listen to it. My car is old enough that it doesn't have a CD player!

Yup, only place we get to actually see Eight in all his glory :)

I can get you a copy of the TVM, no dramas. Is .avi ok? While parts of it are crappy and over-Americanised (take every scene with the Master for instance), the sheer love that is Eight in the flesh is well worth the cliched moments of doom. Plus, don't know what you know about the plot, but Eight broke a lot of whofanon rules ;)

Which audio have you got? I've got about the first three years ...

Avi ought to be fine. I really don't know much about it, except the American Master and a kiss with Grace.

I've got Human Resources, which I think I recall you recommending.

Wasn't me, lol! I don't have that one, so I couldn't have recommended it. I've heard it's cracking - what do you think?

I haven't listened to it yet -- I still haven't bought that MP3 player. But I'm looking forward to it.

Ah, ok. Well let me know if it's worth the exorbitant shipping to Australia ;)

Oh, and I know I reviewed ch14 of Heritage already ... but it truly is an excellent story. Original characters can be so tricky and you've built a story on their merit alone. You're not riding on the coattails of Rose or Ten - you should be proud.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you think so! I appreciate your support and encouragement very much.

I suspect I don't get as many readers as I would if Rose and the Doctor were in it, but I'm very glad to have the readers that I do and to have received the response that I have. It's very gratifying and encouraging.

Don't feel bad about the lack of numbers through the door, so to speak. I don't have a lot of readers for my fic ... probably because I'm subject to long delays, but also, I think because it's not everybody's favourite pairing. That being said, the people who do regularly review seem to be more interested than the usual shippy crowd ... the reviews I do get are more involved, more reflective and more detailed - which suggests to me that people are actually interested in the plot, lol. From reading reviews left by others when I review Heritage - it seems to me that your reviewers are much the same.

Give me ten quality reviews over omgz! wow yr writing is real good, thnx! ... any day of the week :)
