Knitting and telly-watching

I'm about 1/3 of the way through my first test swatch. I can already see that the design will need work. Translating the desired position of holes into yarn overs and decreases is more complicated than it looks. But I still believe the desired result is possible.

I'm also watching CoE. Frobisher is an interesting character: from the beginning, we knew that he was, at the least, morally flawed. But he's gradually being revealed as even more craven and compromised than we thought. (I'm halfway through Episode 3.) And yet, you feel for him in his terror.

Frobisher is perhaps my favorite character in that series, not because he is at all likable but because he's shown as such a full character. He's not a simple evil doer; it's much more complex than that. Having a show evoke compassion and empathy and perhaps even understanding of someone so repugnant is quite remarkable.

Agreed.

I'm looking forward to when I can read everybody's comments on it! (Yes, I'm still unspoiled!) But I find that I can't take it in huge stretches. The suspense gets to me.
