Feeling a bit blue. This may be because it's grey and wet outside. But it seems that, although I've cleaned my apartment, somehow it doesn't look as nice as it has other days.

I haven't got anything I need to do today, except drop some prescriptions off at the drug store. I thought I might go look at cats.

I try not to apply the word "should" to my scheduling of tasks for myself in my free time, because I fall into patterns of guilt and self-reproach far too easily. But, if you'll excuse the word, I "should" write some fanfic today. That might cheer me up.

I think I'll make an Almond Energy Blast.

I do the same thing as you do, in that I schedule my "free" time to the hilt.

Do you find that you keep to your schedules, or do you procrastinate? (If that isn't too personal a question! Me, I procrastinate, which is one reason I'm trying to come up with a new method of picking things to do.)

I notice that I am happier, less depressed, when I keep to them, so I try to make myself keep to them. I also make sure to schedule for myself "Time at Leisure," in which there is no pressure to do any one thing, just whatever I feel like doing.

I have been thinking hard about ways to maintain a sense of freedom and leisure while still advancing goals and taking care of the various requirements of living (like housekeeping, laundry, and errands.) I definitely don't have it all worked out yet.

Some days feel good because they're organized and full of accomplishments: some days feel good because all I did was snooze. I guess I have to learn how to banish the voice that opines on what I "should" have done with the time.
